From October 29th to November 1st 2018, at the Biodiversity Academy (Acadebio) of ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for the Conservation of Biodiversity), located in Ipanema National Forest (Iperó, SP), Project Leaders Tadeu Gomes de Oliveira and Fábio Dias Mazim were involved in the reassessments process of the Brazilian Red List for the 27 species of carnivores. The work was done following IUCN’s Red List Assessment protocols, by a team of experts. The results and changes should reflect the current situation to the best of the knowledge available for the species. This was just the beginning of the process that should take a couple of years until it becomes official.
